I have had a strong desire to draw, but every time I've tried in the past two days, I've had some very bizarre and serious problems forming artwork. Like, not putting together human anatomy correctly (not just like, "huh...something is off" but more like, "Oh god, it's like I broke her/his arm. Humans don't bend that way..."). I made several messes

I also quickly remembered that I wasn't a huge fan of Marco, and that Cassie is some kind of anamoly with her awesome morphing skills. XD I must have liked Cassie best, because almost all that I can recall easily were things written from her pov or revolve around a character's relation to Cassie (Jake = love interest, for example).
But, I wasn't really able to get into the series fully because by then, my "reading" age was advancing too quickly for small chapter books. I was blowing through them in about two hours, and it just wasn't enough. Around that time, I moved on to longer YA fiction like Philip Pullman, Christopher Pike, and so on. And I had to move on from there by the time I was 10-11 anyway, because it still wasn't enough. =/ So, sadly, Animorphs was just mostly lost on me except in snippets.
THOUGH! I also recalled that Animorphs was one of the first series that I learned about "ghostwriters." I remembered the dedication sounded bizarre, "help with the manuscript" isn't a usual line in a fiction novel of that size, and later on when my professor was talking about ghostwriters, he listed bunches that are KNOWN and ACKNOWLEGED ghostwritten, and Animorphs was on the list.

Yeah, Marco was... ehhh. The story did need a more light-hearted perspective but he was easily the least interesting character most of the time. The issue with his mother's 'death' (and the actual circumstances surrounding it) and such was a decent angle, though.
Haha... I actually remember the couple of times I picked up one of the books while we were down in the valley. We'd get home around 10pm, I'd start reading, and I'd be done around 11:30-12:00. xD But alas, I were hooked. D:
Oh yeah, I learned about the ghostwriter issue later on, and it struck me as bizarre. I'd never really seen any series where that took place before. o_o
