Back To The Drawing Board
I'm drawing again today, trying to get another sketch in before the end of the day, or at least by tomorrow morning. Why, you ask, you curious reader you.
Turns out that while my mermaid was "beautiful" she was "too whimsical." Capt. Carol is looking for a "very sexy, alluring, and nautical" mermaid. She's meant to "appeal to men" NOT women. As if this wasn't bad enough, then came the part about how "if I can't do it, that's okay." Like, oh, if you can't handle that...it's okay to give up--I'll find someone else. D=
I need the money enough to really try harder for it. And even though it feels vaguely like selling a bit of my soul for some cash, I'm willing to do it. I mean, seriously...? Make a mermaid for MEN? Oh god.
Well, at least that's easy. Just make the breasts improbable, the waist impossible, the face perfect line-free, and the pose suggestive. Also, some easy ways to instantly make her more "alluring" are to simply take her off the boat--make her the "catch" to be sought, rather than already caught. Then, get her more horizontal, less upright, more suggestive of what she'd look like laying on your bed ready for sex. Take off her shirt, and get folks on the boat looking for her. Give her a Come Hither look, rather than a wicked smile, and BOOM.
Sigh. Like I said, kinda like selling my soul. Because the last thing women need are more impossible examples to live up to. Why can't I give her a laugh line or two, or make her confident without overtly sexual. Why can't she have smallish breasts, and some big hips?
Because who wants an imperfect fantasy woman? T.T
To get more in the mood, I've put on my sexy underwear, my sexy bra, and my sexy shirt. (Ever since I've been in a relationship with Brian, my accumulation of playful and sexy underwear has greatly increased, to the point where finding a plain cotton underwear is kinda of like digging through the other underwear going, "I KNOW I still have some...somewhere......" But, my unwillingness to wear uncomfortable sexy underwear is unchanged. u_u It can be lacy, but it better be SOFT and NOT SCRATCHY lace, and there better be cloth parts to it as well. /random information about underwear drawer)
