Figures In The Windowpane

Well, today I'm feeling mostly all better. I have a weird sniffle feeling in my nose, but I can ignore that. I also think that my throat is probably all better...well, okay, better enough that if I limit how much talking I do today, I'll be fine.

That freed me up to have the energy to put the chicken in the slow cooker for both dinner and tomorrow bento for Brian. And I'll be making dinner later. Yesterday Brian made dinner. We're thinking that every Wednesday will be his cooking day. We have to wean ourselves off depending on going out for food whenever I can't cook. It's expensive and loads less healthy. I've gained weight like woah (that's right folks, I'm up to 136lbs...again) from being unable to cook for one reason or another. I'm going to get more dedicated to staying in and cooking. Especially to prepare for us getting our Fresh Vegetables from the farmshare. I can't wait for that! =D I've always wanted to get lots of veggies, and be forced to use them within the week. Call me strange, but having that "You Have To Use These" hanging over my head makes me feel like I'll definitely do my best.

It's been almost impossible to exercise this week. First off, I thought I'd have to give back Persona 4, so I was playing it like mad to get to the end. Second off, I was sickly. Those two really slowed me down. But, I'll be okay. Next week I have two volunteer things: food thing and letter writing thing. The letter writing is for Terminally Ill children. If you think I don't have my masochisitic side, I'm filling out an application to be a Cancer Kid Mentor. I think that Cancer Kids probably need friends more than the average kid. Plus, I'm fun and cheerful! =D And I know loads of cool things like books, music, movies...

I'm also thinking that by the beginning of July, I'm going to get back to putting out my applications out there. Why wait so long, you might ask? I want to be accepted to a volunteer program that I can put on my application first. I need to put something else on there besides what I have, because obviously that wasn't enough to get me a job. I want to get to an interview, because once I'm there, I have a way better chance of scoring a job.

So, here I go!
