Music Fun, Sickness, And Housework
First off, still sick. Getting better agonizingly slowly, but still getting better. My health and mood have improved enough to finish up Sara's Mix (it's still giving me trouble...I'm tempted to scrap it and redo it, but...it's not bad. I just feel like it's either missing a piece, or has too much of one thing...but, I can't quite figure it out. I'm still sick enough that my brain just goes, "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." instead of suggesting a solution. *sigh*). And make one for Ms. Alexandra, as well as a letter. =D I'm like addicted to making mixes for my friends...*shakes head* I'm going to be the Friend Who Makes Mixed CDs. As if I'm not already...
But, since I'm feeling better, I'm happy that I'm able to take up my correspondences again. I like my letters, and writing them and such. But, I've missed out on like a week and a half of possible correspondence. I've gotten letters I need to reply to, which I'll get to today.
Also, today marks the first day that I've got to get back into Housewife Mode. That means I need to do some cleaning today (not heavy, and not a lot, as I'm still coughing and sick). I also cooked dinner last night (a simple affair of garlic bread, pasta, homemade sauce, and chicken thighs), and breakfast this morning (omelette with chipotle salsa, half everything bagel with colby cheese melted on top, and bowl of cereal with a cup of Oregon Chai tea).
The sad thing is that Brian finally got confirmation that he didn't get the job at DTNA that he'd been hoping for. He made it to the final round, but he was the 3rd contestant out of 3, and there were only 2 positions. It's sort of sad to get so close (to be #3 out of 13 applicants) and not make it. Still, the person who recommended him is looking for other things Brian might be suited for, since he believes that Brian is a good candidate, and Brian's looking more seriously than before into the two other positions that have presented themselves (a CAD design position that approached him, and a Crime Scene Technician that he passed the first round for). It's just sad that it didn't work out after all.
So, I'm going to do some corresponding, then in an hour call Milly back. It's good to be able to get back to talking to my friends. Being sick really put me out of the loop with Sara, Lynette, and Milly, not to mention folk like Anji, Alex, and Staci...not being able to talk, or even chat online really bites when everyone you care about lives a billion miles away...not that I'd have had them over just to get sick from me even if they were here, but still. I could have waved from behind plated glass! =D
