I'm not feeling very well.... I can't seem to get warm no matter how many warming charms I cast, or how much I put on.

Good for you - unfortunately Harry is still laid up because of your friend's pet - so I shan't be having any for a while yet.

The canine beast that killed the Aurors Harry works with, and nearly killed him as well. I almost lost him - and that beast is a 'pet' now, and won't be put down like it deserves.

It doesn't matter - it's the beast that did the damage. In any sane society, the creature, as well as whomever was controlling it, would be put down. What's to say it won't happen again? It's killed before - it will kill again.
