Thanksgiving has come and gone. That four day weekend was glorious... although considering I don't work 40 hours a week anymore, what am I complaining about in the first place? And of course, I made pies for Thanksgiving.

:) I thought that too. I worry that some people might think it's me trying to be cheap though... although I guess I am in a way. :P
Piping! Practice practice practice! After my classes, I go home and practice whatever I was doing earlier (piping, roses or other flowers, etc) with the extra frosting I can't save. Also, for those shells on the top, the key is to keep your hand upright and pipe downward instead of at an angle.

If people think you're trying to be cheap by making a present, then they obviously don't understand what kind of effort you're putting into it. Hell, it's not even the effort, it's the thought. And that's what makes handmade gifts so personal and individual.
Well, practice makes perfect, as they say. Right?
