It's been three years to the day since Hurricane Charlie hit the west coast of Florida and killed four people.
It's hard to believe it's already been that long.
I remember driving down Conway road and seeing the plywood boards covered in spray painted words, thanking the electric companies that had come in from out of state.
And I remember our hurricane day homework assignments....the best by far still being the one from Ms. Hilley that included a guide to avoiding flying projectiles. :-)

Today was okay. This morning was rough but the day ended well.
After much frustration with VCC, crying, yelling and temper-tantruming, after my four classes were dropped because of some unpaid fee that I wasn't aware of, I managed to regain the schedule I had before.
All is well again in the world.
I went to Michael's and bought more scrapbooking paper, some new brushes and some canvas. I came home and organized my art supplies, which made me happy, and organized the bags full of things I had left over from various trips I've been on the past two years. Receipts, maps, museum tickets, train passes, etc. I always like to keep those things. And now they are in labeled envelopes. hehe

Big news of the day:
My formal complain to US Airways was recieved and I am now the happy recipient of a $250 travel voucher. Woot!
One trip to Boston for me. That'll make things much easier.

And now it's bed time.
G'night!
