I am not a princess
Though I’m currently quite busy, there’s not much going on that I could report here, other than comments on the weather, so I thought I’d do that 10 things meme.
Ten Things I've Done That You Probably Haven't:
1. Hitched through Kruger game park in South Africa, alone.
2. Danced at Saddlers Wells dressed as a Red Indian.
3. Woken up in horror to find a kitten latched on to me and attempting to nurse (yeuk).
4. Dislocated my shoulders while engaged in five different sporting activities.
5. Discretely spat out* into glass of water on my side of the bed, and not acted quickly enough to stop my gentleman companion before he reached across and drank it in the morning.
6. Spent an afternoon on Hampstead Heath with Peter Cook and a hot air balloon.
7. Watched a wild leopard jump out of a bathroom window into the sites of a waiting gun, and crumple in a pile of glossy, tragedy.
8. Regularly rode a horse with a 10cm hole in the side of his head.
9. Carried out research funded by animal welfare charity looking at arthritic turkeys.
10. Featured in a national newspaper discussing the merits of being a princess in a modern world ('well, it would be very awkward if you were that easily bruised by a pea; and I’m not sure I’d like it if everyone else was poor…')
I’ve picked up on some of the themes of Iterum. If you have done any of these I’ll come up with 10 more (although, perhaps that’s a bit rash, as I don’t keep cats, and have no idea of what’s normal in the homes of cat owners).
