When Azusa had finally decided that he'd rather freak his father out instead of clearing the air between them, he was rather surprised by how calmly the elder Odagiri took the news of his son's sexuality and current love interest.

The very idea that Shinogu would be slicing up apples for Azusa while he lay in the hospital was too eerie.
#03 - Beginning
When Shinogu finally gave up on becoming a monk and came back home, Azusa hadn't realized that this was a new beginning for the both of them.

When they were still innocent children, Azusa had only tried to play one mean prank on Hatsumi; before he could drop the bug down the back of her shirt though, he'd felt a gentle hand on his shoulder and turned to see Shinogu shaking his head.

"I didn't come to talk about your father," Azusa smiled as he leaned back in the chair, "only to drink some of that delicious coffee you're so good at making."

Even now, when he no longer slept alone, Azusa would still wake up at night, remembering the darkness of that house he had lived in with his mother; it was the only time he'd allow himself to grip Shinogu.
