I'll live; whatever else may be coming, I expect he'll be well off enough back home, and from what he'd said, I'll be seeing him again. [Even though he would rather have Zidane here, and that 'seeing him again' isn't going to be pleasant either.]

[Oh, there's other people that recognize Kuja from "home" in Johto now... all of whom know him as an enemy - but it's at least been handled so far with a sort of respectful distance.]

That's been my understanding - that occasionally people who return here don't remember having been here... and our situation is something of a special case. [Ah, Cycle induced amnesia, how Kuja was not fond of you.]

[Whoooo. Welcome to the 'OUR CANON LIVES SUCK' club! And he can share the 'MY CANON LIFE IS ABOUT TO SUCK I JUST DON'T KNOW IT YET :D' club with Jack.]

Something like that - not something I'm involved in yet, but something outside the normal plane where those involved apparently gradually forget what their lives were before. A rather disturbing mess all around. [It is an attempt at being brief with it - it doesn't seem to be something the people involved in treat as a big secret, at least. Not that he would mind forgetting large chunks of his life, although he suspects it wouldn't really help and wouldn't change which side of that conflict is poaching him.]
