Let's play a little game.

”Oi, Anarakan…!” A falsely high voice rang through the open doorway into the small kitchen. The lohard whose name had just been called gave an exasperated sigh and turned to look towards the source of the noise.

Standing at the doorway was Nox. The mutt’s ever present smile was attached to his muzzle in that all too familiar way. Anarakan turned his back to the mutt, returning to his cooking. Maybe, just this once, just for one time in his life, the dog would take the hint. Like so many times before, it did not happen.

“Let’s play a little game!” the dog clapped his hands together much like a kiddy child. Anarakan did his best to ignore him, which was a well practiced task by now. A bubbling sound attracted the lohard’s attention and he went to investigate the kettle on the stove. Finally the water had begun to boil. Still ignoring the mutt at the doorway, who was talking about something, the taur headed towards one of the many drawers. As he pulled it out, Anarakan reach forwards with his other hand to get the ladle… but it wasn’t there!

“… I told you it’s not going to be in there,” Nox said triumphantly. The icy glare he received from the lohard could have killed… but the mutt, who clearly lacked any sense of self preservation, merely grinned.

“Like I just said, I had most of the stuff taken from here. Because I thought we could play a game. Just for fun…!” Nox’s sentences got shorter and more stressed as the lohard began to approach him. And he didn’t look like
