Adult Assembly Required
So we've reached a compromise,
Lets not show whats on the inside.
There are too many battered memories you hide.
Rules that were broken, Rules you couldnt abide.
Now we're living in nostalgic excitement
And we've had enough of the pessimistic enlightenment.
Before you I never knew what "together" meant
And now everything seems like a lesser accomplishment.
You see life as being above you
Always feeding yourself something less than the truth.
Keep plotting and planning your next move,
And when the time comes it wont be a moment too soon.
