Confusion and a little free time.

The hours at both jobs have eased up a little on some days. At my worst I find myself working from 9am to 12:30pm with a short break in between then it's work from 1pm to 10pm (with a half hour break) at UPS. But so far those days seem limited to Mondays, but retail is a pain because of the constantly changing schedule. Fortunately, I believe I'm currently set to work no more than 20 hours per week at PetSmart. Between the 20 or so hours at UPS each week I guess this could be considered near full-time work, though not in the way I imagined it would be. Still, the extra money will help fund the upcoming move-- or at least I think we're still moving.

Things around here have been as confusing as ever. First my mom throws out the idea of moving into a duplex apartment with her boyfriend on the other side of the city for nearly a year. The plan being to save extra money while looking for a house to move into. The original two houses that my mom had her eye on where taken away from us by other people who put in higher bids. In one case a verbal agreement was settled on, but before it could be put in writing the higher bid from someone else came. Currently, my mom has her eye on another house not far from here, but the people who want to move into this house are getting impatient (despite the September 30th settlement date). So if this new house doesn't work out my mom is then considering staying here for yet another year.

Personally, I didn't think moving in such a bad economy was a good idea to begin with (my objections were overruled of course), but now I just want this moving to be over with. I'm sick of having my life interrupted every other day with people wanting to see the house, and or having most of my free time from work being eaten up by the need to pack. The packing is also going very slowly, as we don't have enough boxes and between both jobs with occasional help from Juan my time is limited. Today I didn't have to go to my side job, so I decided to spend my time relaxing before I had to take Juan to see his doctor. Maybe the time could have been spent packing, but with the confusion around here I'm not sure what's going on. So why not catch up on some anime and e-mails?

So I spent the day catching up on dubbed episodes of season two of Gundam 00 (yay for DVR), and fan subbed episodes of Bleach and Valkyria Chronicles. I'm actually caught up with Valkyria Chronicles (finally!) and I'm a little under six episodes behind in Bleach. Although Bleach has gone into fillers again, they seem to be pulling stuff from the bonus chapters in the manga that I never though I'd see animated. All in all, I'm not sure where the story is going but I'll hold my silence until I'm actually caught up with the series.

One of my favorite scenes from the manga now in full motion and color. School fights are always the best, that's what I loved about the early Bleach episodes.

In the meantime I've taken a short break from Bleach: Heat the Soul 6 on the PSP to give Dissidia: Final Fantasy a try.

Dissidia came the same day via Amazon. I haven't tried the bonus music CD yet but so far I'm liking the music of this game. Also, I can't believe they sent the game via UPS in a simple bubble mailer that was way too big for the game. At least it wasn't damaged in transit.

So far the game is pretty decent, though I'd gotten so use to playing the Bleach fighting game that getting used to a new fighting/action/RPG-ish game is taking some time. As for a first impression of Dissidia, well, the story makes no sense to me, but the game is becoming increasingly fun as I get used to the game play. So far I'm liking the Warrior of Light from the original Final Fantasy the best, but I haven't given the game a fair shake. At least it's a nice break from all of the confusion going on around here.
