First a shout out to Samantha from Louisiana who begged me on hands and knees (she just begged) to write a new livejournal and mention her.
Now that we have that bit of business taken care of, what have I been up too?
I have been spending a lot of time in Aaron’s Basement. Partly because I decided to move my computer there so that I could share some important files over the network (Aaron has the DVD burner at his house.) I suppose you could also say that I am there because my friends are there.
I also spent a week in the Upper Peninsula where I attended Kathy’s graduation. Other than the fact that the upstairs in my grandma’s house managed to get up to about 85+ degrees one night, driving me into the basement, I had a pretty good time. As usual I managed to get into that euphoric state that I have come to associate with U.P. and as usual for the three or four days following my return I could think of nothing else other than going back up and immersing myself in the tranquility once again. My sister casually suggested I move up there for the summer… I am taking serious consideration although I think I would need to have internet put in if I were to actually do so. I figured I could find a job up there and in my free time, fix up the place and change some of the carpet. I would feel somewhat guilty
I came to a life-altering decision (you will laugh when you read it, but that is because you have never been there, non-gamer, and you have no idea how truly profound it maybe.) I made myself quit WoW.
[Aaron has fully recovered (I was worried he would die of dysentery and my wagon train would never reach Oregon!) unfortunately I found out after the fact that he managed to get Heather sick, but even she is feeling better now, and I only lost one oxen.]
