Three-In-One

I liked the idea behind this episode but I think it ended up being one of those episodes where their tried to fit too much in. The multiple personality was a good idea but we never really found out why it happened because they were spending too much time focused on Nichols and his Dad. Apart from the ethical issues, I liked Nichols' father but unfortunately it then pushed Stevens to the side. Which is kind of sad considering it ended up being her last episode  Nichols on the other hand got an ending that wasn't too bad.

Hee, the more cynical view of private schools, taking on a student because of what the student can do for them, rather than what they can do for the student.

I thought the lawyer was going to end up being a major character but we never saw him again. The real estate agent on the other hand, whilst I'm sorry about what she had to go through, she would have been really irritating if she had of been in the entire episode

I don't know why they felt the need to take the body away, it wasn't as thugh what happened to the woman was that disturbing as far as murders go. Unless the bugs made it kind of gross :( They called in major case because they thought the scene was disturbing but they didn't even realise that someone had come back to the body until Stevens found the sandwich wrapper

They worked out that the writing was probably by a child but then there was always the possibility that the murderer was faking the multiple personality. If he was faking that would have been a lot of research to fake a child's writing like that.

I thought the Brooklyn ME had taken the body-how did Rogers end up with it? The wounds on the victims stomach needed to be cleaned, it was like the make up department made the bloody for the shock effect :(

It was kind of odd that they didn't know until he told them that the victim and her husband was separated. Actually what was more unusual was that they never considered him a suspect!

Considering the murderer did such a good job covering his tracks, you would think that he would have removed the dust outline from the drop cloth. And the drag marks for the victims shoes

I can't tell whether this building was supposed to have really good security or fairly shoddy security. If they were keeping a register of all the workmen who were coming in and out you think it was be pretty easy to track down the painter, assuming he used his own name

When the painter arrived home and found all the toys on the ground and got upset I thought this was going to end up being a really weird family unit!

The fact that the painter knew where the cameras were and to avid showing his face would seem to suggest that he knew what he was doing. Unless of course he was trying to cover for the doctor

Really seeing as doctors in L&O are so quick to cite confidentiality laws, you would think that they would actually know what they were and a bit more detail about the whole thing.

I agree with Stevens' assessment, that doctor was weird :(

Co workers are never upset enough about a death, at least not upset enough to stop working. Because it's what the victim would have wanted!

Later on it became obvious that the murderer's problems had something t do with discipline but the co worker talking about the victim's views here was one of the only mentions of the topic

Well if nothing else the murderer is a highly functioning multiple personality sufferer, being able to have a home where each personality gets their own space, without any problems. Was it a mistake that Stevens referred to the picture as the doctor and his mother rather than his aunt?

I'm not sure how the personalities could really function in society if it only took one mention of discipline for him to crack! The up close images of the teacher's face was a bit of a different approach for the show. It would have been fairly obvious to the teacher than something was wrong was the painter, so how did he get her out without her kicking up a fuss?

Wow the NYPD has gone all out, a tv psychiatrist. Seriously, expect as someone for Nichols Snr to beat, what was the point of this guy, surely the police force could do a bit bitter.

I liked how Nichols was uncomfortable about bringing up his father. Plus his reaction to his father saying he would help was kind of cute. But their relationship, it's amzing Nichols isn't really warped (

I would have thought that by the sea probably wasn't he best place to keep a motor home if you wanted to keep it in good condition. Of coursefor hiding your torture victims its probably perfect!

I really liked the way Dr Nichols was able to describe how the three personalities interacted, especially whilst all this was in action with the teacher. I'm not sure whether it was intentional but when he was the painter he seemed a lot younger than the doctor

It was pretty impressive that they were able to make the connection between the charity and the pictures that Tommy had drawn. So it was a shame that they never really went into why the place meant so much

I don't really think that they would have started this massive manhunt for the teacher, she could have just gone home for the day!

Why would the painter have gone to the doctor's office? Unless it was the doctor but he was still wearing the painter's clothes?

The writers seemed to be trying to teach a lesson, that both sides need to recognise the expertise of the other :(

Surely there would need to be someone else in the NYPD who could help with multiple personality if Dr Nichols wasn't going to cooperate. Plus it's more likely they would know police procedure.

Dr Nichols said they needed Stevens because the woman's role was important. But in the end I'm not sure what she really did. Unless it had something to do with the suspect's background?

I loved how cool Dr Nichols was about being attacked :P

I thought for sure that the teacher was going to be dead when they arrived. But no, they made it in time!

The final scene was kind of rare for a L&O, just a personal moment where something actually goes well for a character. Plus as far as exits go it wasn't too bad :)
