All Hermione could hear was the soft sound of the sea lapping against the shore. She sat up, looking over the vast cerulean expanse as the sun beat down on her skin. The warmth was such that, despite her small swimsuit, she didn't feel the least bit exposed.

She stretched her legs out with a sigh, feeling sand between her toes. This was all very peaceful and relaxing, but there was a nagging feeling that something was missing. She had sunglasses, a nice drink and a favourite book, all of which should have provided her with a very nice afternoon. The thing that was missing, though, was a little more substantial than a book.

Frowning, she lay back down and closed her eyes. The sound of the sea faded away, disappearing into sharp hammering. Hermione groaned, opening her eyes, the ceiling overhead instead of a brilliant blue sky. She rolled off the bed, feeling thirsty, which was apparently a side-effect of the new Daydream Charms that the twins were developing. Rather than providing a fantasy situation, these Daydream Charms (suitable for all age groups) simply provided a relaxing situation.

Hermione had enjoyed testing it immensely, yet she had half a mind to suggest that the twins made daydreams that partners could share.

Speaking of partners, Hermione wandered out to the kitchen to investigate the hammering. Charlie had apparently decided to put up some shelves. Hermione cleared her throat.

He turned, grinning at her. "Afternoon. Did you enjoy your daydream?"

Hermione opened the cupboard to find a clean glass. "It was alright, I suppose. Better than the forest one. It was just%u2026" She broke off, pouring herself a glass of orange juice. She watched the liquid fill the glass, reminding her of the beach.

"It was just what?" Charlie asked, putting away his hammer. He patted his shelf, pleased with his workmanship.

She wrinkled her nose. "It would have been better if you were there."

Charlie pulled her into a hug, kissing her forehead. "Maybe we can go on holiday this year?" He stroked a lock of hair away from her face. "Failing that, we could always put some Heating Charms on the house and you can walk around in a bikini."

Hermione hit his arm. "Prat."

Shrugging, Charlie laughed. "It's not my fault that I want to see you in that teeny little polka dot bikini of yours." He traced his finger along her exposed collarbone, then along the collar of her t-shirt. "I haven't had a chance to see it on, yet."

He glanced behind him at the shelf, then grinned at Hermione. "I've finished my work for the afternoon." His hands slipped behind her, resting on her arse. "How about I put on those Heating Charms and you put on that bikini?" He squeezed gently, making Hermione laugh.

"Fine," she agreed, after a moment, fingering the hem of his t-shirt, "but if I have to dress up, so do you."

"I think 'dress down' is more appropriate."

"Prat."
