This was excellent, and written beautifully. I love the way you use metaphors. And the Neal!Angst and Jones!Angst is perfect and right on the mark. I think there's plenty of comfort in there as well, so don't worry.

Btw, I spotted two HTML italics tags in there, you might wanna fix those.
