Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End trailer
EEEE!
Looks like it has all the elements for a fantastic pirate movie:
--Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow
It also has other marvelous things sure to please the fans:
--Pirates (lots and lots of pirates)
--A special effects budget large enough to feed a small country for a year
--Johnny Depp (this bears repeating)
--Sword fights
--Orlando Blood soaking wet (I didn't notice before, but he gets drenched in all the movies)
--Humorous one-liners
--Undead monkey
--A really big waterfall (I like waterfalls)
Plot? I doubt it really matters, but there's some semblance of a plot. Something has to fill the time between Jack's jokes, Will getting soaked, and the fight scenes. The gist of it seems to be they bring Jack back from the dead somehow. Then they get all the pirates in the world together and fight the East India Trading Company and Davy Jones. There's some romance thrown in there too.
I just hope they redeem Norrington. I don't care if he switches sides or if he makes it clear he's fighting the pirates for noble, moral reasons. I just don't want him to be petty, selfish, and obsessed with revenge and restoring his reputation through means he'd have scorned in the first movie.
