I just thought, "oh good, it's not Saturday yet."  whoops.
This Thursday we had an open mic reading.  Room scheduling put us in a room already in use, so we held the reading in this big hallway where 2 sets of stairs led down to a square of floor.  People sat on the steps and it was like an ampitheater!  We had good food and drinks, but then we were like, "so who wants to read?" and not many people had brought stuff.  Which meant a) I had to read a poem from freshman year b) the whole thing seemed illegitimate and poorly planned.  I think it was poorly planned, though it was our first event of the year, c'mon.  We needed to have a respectable minimum booked.  It turned out ok, especially since some crazy spoken word kids came.   Anyways.

This week will be ridiculous.  I keep getting new tutoring clients, which means there are less hours for more clients.  Got stood up Thursday by the guy client with the extremely long eyelashes.  Monday I am quite booked, so if you were planning on asking for an appointment, I'll have to ask you to choose another date.  I'll be open Thursday between 11 and 2 and Friday after 1.  Call my administrative assistant.

Roomie turns 21 on Tuesday!!!  She's the first one to turn legal.  Huzzah, I can't wait until we can all go out like respectable people and get Heinekens and act like we're social.  I am going to bake myself into a huge cake (red velvet) and then pop out nude when she walks in the door.  I will be covered in red shmears of crumb and she will think it's Halloween, not her birthday.

Yesterday, Michael Anderson called me while I was with Rachel.
me: "Hello?"
him: "Hi Stephanie, it's Michael."
me: "hey, what's up?"
him: "Ok, do you know the name of the guy who starred in Hotel Rwanda?  Can you count to three and then tell me his name?"
me: "uhhhhhh.....one, two, three, Don Cheadle."
him: "Ok, thanks."
me: "You're welcome."
him: "Talk to you later."
me: "Bye."
Might have been the oddest phone conversation this year.  This decade. hahaha :)

5K for tots tomorrow!
