Here I am

It has been quite a time since I have updated.  Where did February go, anyway.

I have been working a lot because of having two jobs.  I don't know if that is going to be relieved any time soon, but I am hopeful again.  The level of stress I had been under is simply not something you can maintain for a long period of time, so even though things are still on the verge of being bad, it isn't affecting me as much any more.

My grandpa is about to finish his first round of radiation.  I understand that it does seem to be helping.

I asked for a weekend off to go see him and the rest of the family back home.  I don't know if I'll get the days off, but I'm hopeful.  So I could actually get some time off in a week and a half.  It would give me a chance to take care of some stuff and see the family.  I really hope that sweetie can come along.

I still haven't been doing much writing.  Which sucks because I have ideas.  Well, an idea.  For a story I started like a year and a half ago or something.  Maybe even longer.  I get this great idea for it a week ago, work on it when I should have been sleeping, then haven't found time to work on it since.  Working two jobs and 12-14 hour days makes it hard to do some things.  And when I am home I am so tired.  Can't catch up on sleep.

Still, I'm feeling pretty positive.  I'm bummed by the job situation, but I know it isn't forever.  Eventually I will become a full librarian, and in the meantime, I get to work at the library which I love.  In a few more months, I'll be able to quit the grocery store, even if I haven't found full time.  And once I do that I will have time to write, and to clean house again, and to do all those things I enjoy and have been neglecting.  If I am not full time by this summer, then I'll go down to just the library job anyway, I think.  I care about money but I don't want to be a slave to it.

We are finally starting to search for a house.  Raymond talked to a realtor a week ago, and he is starting to talk to the banks about money, and I don't know, but maybe in the next week we will be actually looking at houses.  This is so exciting.

Raymond is so great.  With all the stress I have been going through, and working so much, he has been the main bright spot in my life.  He really helps me hold it together.  I don't know what I would have done without him.

writing, work, life
