We live on the ground floor of our appartment building. The two levels above us have railed patios they can go out onto. We have sort of a patio area, but no railing, basically it's just a cement slab before the grass starts. The neighbors above us like to smoke out on the patio, and at least one neighbor above us then just drops the cigarette butts onto the ground, where they make piles on and around our "patio" area. I spent a couple hours today cleaning them all up, and had a nice full grocery-sack of them by the time I was done. As I was cleaning, the neighbor right above us came out to smoke. He noticed me there cleaning, and I explained to him that with my toddler who still likes to try to eat random things she finds, I can't have cigarette butts all around our door. He told me he puts his cigarette butts into a soda can, and he suspects it's the third floor neighbors who throw them down. After I finished cleaning I went up to the third floor neighbors and had a similar conversation with them. They said only one of them smokes, and she always uses an ashtray. They'd also noticed me out cleaning up the mess. Anyways, I don't care about having the guilty party admit to what they'd been doing, I just want the mess to stop, and hopefully it will now.

Today LilBit decided to accessorize herself in the following manner: A ring-shaped toy on each arm as bracelets, her pink sparkly Littlest Petshop sunglasses, and her large white snow-hat which has a bear face on top, and flaps that come down over her ears and fasten under her chin.

Conrad seems to finally be feeling better from his sinus infection. It's been a slow recovery. He's been working hard the past few days to get caught up on the work he missed while he was so sick.
