(no subject)
Went to SMASH on Saturday, 2nd August.
Be awed man… I managed to actually arrive to that place without too much of a glitch! LOL. Imagine, I, a pathfinder idiot, being able to get to a place that I’ve totally never been to in my life without getting totally lost! XDDD Truth be told, it’s most probably due to the very specific route instructions that SMASH gave that I managed to get there… XDD
In comparison to CosFest, SMASH was smaller in scale, but what it lacks in scale, it’s made up by the dedication of the cosplayers there. Granted, there are less cosplayers but apparently, they all make their own costumes!!! And I saw many that are really beautiful!!! =D

Reached there at around 11+ almost 12pm - I’d thought that I’ll be only just in time to see Kiuchi, but he was delayed… So I quickly took a tour around the place! Ehehehe!~
The marking placed on everyone to identify a visitor… The entry into the Roundhouse was pretty quick, especially when you’ve pre-registered yourself =)
Walking around the place, you’ll see the stalls both top and bottom… At the bottom, there are stalls selling plushies, bromides, English comics, cosplay accessories and more stuff!~ Pity I didn’t take much photos… *is shy* XDDDD Yeah right…

I had a quick tour, and the queue to the maids’ café was looooong! XDDD Cannot believe my eyes man! XD Being alone, I didn’t venture that far, after all, with that long a queue, I think I may very well end up waiting for an hour or so! =X
So off I went to the karaoke room instead! It’s located a stone’s throw out of the roundhouse proper, and it’s like this small tutorial room, but with really good sound system. Heck, it’s so good that the mic was super sensitive lah! XD They had quite a selection of music, but I only tried singing once later on after seeing Kiuchi… Any guesses as to which song I sang? (I did pretty lousy at singing that though XDDD )
Kiuchi Kiuchi… He’s quite the funny man alright. XD Glancing over at the audience -there was a row of PoT Hyotei regulars team by the way - throwing the occasional hilarious faces at us whilst the interview went on. It was definitely worth staying for that event. Then the life dubs!!! OH MAN! That was really cool! We watched the original dubs of the anime snippet, and he’ll dub it live for us… Then there was this one time when we all went ‘oniichan!’ at one particular anime (I don’t remember the name of it though *killed*), and he was like… Hiding his laughter? Then there was another time when one person from the audience was invited up to dub with him, and she spoke the English subtitles whilst Kiuchi dubbed in Japanese. Ruddy hilarious I tell you! XDDD
Got his siggie on one of my brommies as well =D And when he saw it, he actually mimicked wanting to draw something on Atobe’s face XDD Eheheheheh. It was a long queue for his signing, and I think that he was behind schedule, cos’ he kept glancing at his watch and his PA was checking if the queue could be stopped I think. But he’s a really nice guy to the ‘fangirls’. I actually saw him signing on an Oshitari cosplayer’s Hyotei jacket, and signing it as Oshitari at the end! Pity I didn’t gather enough guts to ask him to write Oshitari there as wel… But ah well, I still got his siggie =D
(The queue was actually really long, and although I was in the middle of it, it took a really long time to get to the front! DX)
After that, went exploring the place again. My favorite stop - the dollfie niche!~ It’s definitely smaller than the EOY display region, but there were several exquisite dollfies. Pity my photography skills don’t justify their original beauty…

Then there’s the art competition region. Once again, I’ll reiterate… Wen, you really should have joined man. The prize is another wacom tabbie wor!!! XDD

There were some more other places within that I didn’t really enter - the games room and the DDR section, but there was quite a crowd at the games room and I saw people coming out with huge posters… Wonder what they had there. Ah well, me = not a huge gamer… XDDD
Then of course… There’s the cosplay!!!~
Didn’t really go as rabid as I thought I would, but there were several costumes and characters that I really enjoyed looking at. Also, it’s really fun that Aussie’s so open *coughfanservicecough*!!!
(They performed a ruddy hilarious skit, full of *coughblcough* hints and induced the audience in fits of laughter man XDD)

All in all, it had been a fun experience! Granted, it really ain't as big as the ones I've seen at SG - or maybe because the Roundhouse itself is smaller than the event halls for EOY and CosFest, but they were really diverse in the various corners that they had, and I had quite a helluva time exploring around =)
I didn’t wanna spend too much there… So what I got were pretty small… Still, the monkey!!! XD Hope that I'll be able to catch next year's SMASH before I head back to SG!!!~~~
