fandom and religious points of contention
This "Hello it's me again, after however many days of inactivity" thing is getting repetitious, but there you go. Hello, it's me again! -_- I'm off to another conference on the burqa (went to one last night by a converted sociology prof; today's speaker is going to tackle the issue from a more secular standpoint, apparently.)
Finally I have fic to post, but who cares because --

(Btw, speaking of TV shows trying to save their ratings by paying through the nose for the 'in' idols of the day: icwudt, We Got Married. In the latest development of MBC-SBSian Battle of the Late Saturday Afternoon Timeslot, we now have new recruits, which brings us to:
- "Egads, everyone loves me all of a sudden!" Taec (SBS) vs. Yongwha (MBC)
- "Internecine warfare ftw 8D," Yoona of SNSD (SBS) vs. Seohyun, also of SNSD (MBC).
- "I am legion the trend," Jo Kwon vs. ... Jo Kwon (loyalty is for people who are not the trend).
We Got Married may have Gain in addition to those first three, but Family Outing will have Taec. And TaecandYoona. So beyond its first few eps, which will surely rate higher than WGM if only for novelty's sake, I'm interested to see which show makes it in the long run. And no, I have no life, why do you ask?)
I watched the KAT-TUN making-of footage yesterday. While the actual songs are really not my cup of tea, they're still full of ridiculous dorky fail, they still give off that almost begrudgingly affectionate vibe, and Tat-chan is still all kinds of adorable (especially when attempting robotic dancing with his forearms. "…マジ面倒くさいですけど。" -_-), so I suppose some things never change. Also Jin's English lyric fail. I. Ouch.
