1. ARASHI - NINOMIYA KAZUNARI
... unsurprisingly enough. He acts (and does it well), he's snarky, he acts like a 14-year old most of the time (or rathers acts like a 14-year old most of the time, maybe that's the point?), he says strange things, he has fascinating ideas about what it means to be an idol, a derpy grin and dimples, and a quavery goat-voice. I've never been particularly into Arashi's music, but since go_to_the_woods got me to listen to Niji it's featured prominently on my playlist ♥.

lydzi_de_galles -- you thought this choice would be difficult? How did you escape my massive crush for so long? XD
His sexy crawl in DEG got me into kpop and his voice kept me there. One minute he's embarrassingly obtuse and the next he's observant and mature (and then is all three simultaneously, somehow); he's petty and generous, vain and humble, and probably a bunch of other things we shall not discuss lest my creep factor go even further off the charts than it already is ;~;. He is also generally gorgeous (when The Hair is good. The Hair has to be good D8). He has a squint ffs, how am I not supposed to wuv him? ♥
3. FRENCH LITERATURE - ANTIGONE (ANOUILH)
This was the most difficult choice, actually, but Anouilh's Antigone is one of the most compelling female voices I've ever come across. She's so young and so idealistically principled -- absolute, even -- and strong, stronger and more adult than most of the adults in the play. She dies, and challenges you to think it was in vain.
That was (admittedly) a woefully inadequate justification, but I did find this here (too lazy/hopeless to translate):
Cette Antigone-là, fallait-il qu'elle meurt? Est-ce vraiment sur le plan moral que la question se pose? Qui est Créon? Variation sur l'éternelle tragédie, la pièce repose les questions, à la lumière macabre de 1944: vivre coûte que coûte en faisant mine d'être heureux? mourir quand cela ne sert à rien? Les deux solutions sont mauvaises, la révolte crie dans le désert et le pouvoir se couvre de honte pour survivre. Créon n'a pas le choix, et il l'a. Antigone aussi. La tragédie se situe peut-être dans le fait d'accepter la tragédie, de s'y soumettre, de ne pas briser le cercle, de continuer. A la fin, les gardes jouent aux cartes; ils continuent à refuser de jouer un rôle dans l'histoire. Nous ne sommes ni Antigone, ni Créon, ni Hémon, nous sommes les gardes. Et c'est de notre faute.
tbh I hesitated between Antigone and Bernard Profitendieu from Gide's Les faux-monnayeurs, which made a huge impression on me. But that was less about the characters individually and more about novel as a whole, so...
4. BEAST - YOON DOOJOON
Also difficult, because I've just discovered the awesomeness that is Junhyung and Yoseob has always been amazing. I love the bluntness of his humour, his sense of responsibility, his kindness, his sincerity and his ridiculously cute pouchy eye-smile. I like the way he grins when he looks at people and the way his voice cracks all the time. I like his eyebrows (gold star if you can guess why I chose this picture XD).
