This year the daylight savings time change is coming a week late. The reason I have heard repeatedly is that it would give trick or treating children an extra hour of daylight.
This confuses me utterly, because in our area nobody comes out until after it gets dark. So they'll probably be keeping the kids up late on a school night. I realize that different areas have different customs, but unless you are taking a toddler around, doesn't daylight trick or treating sort of kill the mood completely?
