[Hello PNG, there is a waiter with a pot leaf on his head green hair staring at the monitor. It looks like he's thinking. To make things less awkward, he smiles and gives a small wave.]

Yes, hello. You must forgive me, I'm not, uh, familiar with the PNG yet. My name is Cilan, and I'm one of the Gym Leaders from Striaton City. Cress, Chili and I ( Read more... )

Wait, wait--! {{cue excited frantic turning on of feeds and more excitement and there! Leaf's face appears!}} So wait, you're Chili's brother?

All I have left to meet then is Cress!

Oh, right, I'm Leaf, from Pallet Town in Kanto. Nice to meet you!

[Who's this girl? Cilan was seeking out to meet new faces.]

Nice to meet you, Leaf!

Um, yes, I'm Chili's brother. Cress will be charmed to meet you, I'm sure. Anyway, Kanto sounds exciting. I've never been to another region before... What are the Pokemon like there?

Oh, you should come! The Pokemon are totally awesome - and our cities are pretty too. We might not be the most... high-tech of regions, but we're still awesome.

But I'm gonna be coming to Unova sometime, no worries. Gotta meet all of you gym leaders, right?

Yeah. It's always a pleasure to meet trainers from outside Unova.

I think that sounds like a real adventure. I'd like to travel someday, but I might get homesick. ...Then I start to think of all the Pokemon I could see, especially the grass Pokemon.

Oh - I bet you haven't seen this Pokemon before! {{releases her Roserade}} It's called a Roserade - the final evolution of a Budew. Isn't she gorgeous? Smile for the camera, Roserade! {{the Roserade cooes happily at the screen}}

[Cilan's eyes widen with surprise and excitement.]

Oh! I've never seen a Roserade before, it's amazing! [He smiles and looks towards Roserade.] ...Hello there! It's nice meeting you, Roserade. Ah... What a fine Grass-type Pokemon you have there, Miss Leaf... She looks very happy! I bet you're very kind to your Pokemon.

Mmm, she's absolutely gorgeous, isn't she? And just Leaf is fine - gosh, Miss Leaf makes me sound so old! {{pats her Roserade on the head}} What Pokémon do you have, Cilan?

Oh, my mistake then. Well, Leaf, I have three Pokemon right now. I'll show you my very first Pokemon! [Cilan takes Pansage's Pokeball, and lets out the Pokemon. Pansage quickly leaps onto Cilan's shoulder, much to his mild surprise.]

This is Pansage. He's been my friend for years now. Don't be fooled by his size, he's very diligent. See, me and Pansage like to work together as a team, and not just Pokemon battles. [Yes, that is not grammatically correct, but he's done that before.]

Would you like to say hello, Pansage? [Pansage lets out a happy cry and waves.]

Oh, he's adorable! Hey there, Pansage! {{wave wave~!}} What do you two do together besides battling?

Pansage likes to help me serve food to customers and entertain them. He also likes to interfere when I'm cooking sometimes but... I guess that doesn't work out as well. [He grins and pets Pansage.] He's good for just plain old companionship too.

Awww... {{SHE WANTS TO HUG YOU PANSAGE you're so cute~!}} Well, they're all good for companionship, aren't they? Right, Roserade? {{Roserade hums in agreement, peering curiously at Pansage}}

[Pansage is also looking curiously at Roserade. He seems pretty happy and greets her.]

You're right, they all are. I didn't have Pansage until I first started to work at the cafe, but now I can't imagine a life without Pokemon...

Once I heard... someone compare the relationship between people and Pokemon to fine wine and dining. I think that's... that can be a good comparison. I really like working with food, after all.

{{Roserade turns to Leaf and chatters excitedly. Leaf listens intently, then nods with a smile}} You wanna meet them? Don't worry, we're all going over there soon. It'll be fun!

{{looking back at Cilan}} I've had some of my Pokemon since I was ten. I've spent nine years with my Blastoise, all the way back when it was a Squirtle. Same with my Farfetch'd. It's always been fun!

Fine wine and dining...? I wouldn't know, heh. But I really wanna come to your cafe sometime soon!

That long, huh? A lot of trainers receive their first Pokemon around that age. Either way, I hope you enjoy your trip to Unova. There's lots of shops and things to do.

It'd be an honor to serve another new customer.

Yeah, I've heard. Unova sounds really big and high-tech compared to Kanto. But I wouldn't have it any other way, y'know. Kanto would lose all it's charm if it became all technologically advanced.

{{laughs}} It'd be an honor to be served by you, I guess!
