I have been following loosely the goings on in Iran over their elections and watching with some interest. And it brings a question to my mind.
Why didnt this sort of thing happen here in the USA when George Bush stole both of his elections?
All of the votes were not counted in 2000. The Supreme Court of a state governed by the brother of the President ordered recounts and then the Supreme Court of the US ordered that GWB be made President and the recounts stopped. How does that work, exactly? Are all the votes no good anymore?
In 2004, the sham continued. Places with thousand of registered voters turned in tens of thousands of Republican votes. It wasnt too widely reported in but some pretty reputable places verified this. Yet we did nothing as a society and country to stop it either time. Hence my opinion that no matter how badly it hurt, this country deserved the 8 years of Bushfucking we had to endure.
