I don't understand how you've managed to misinterpret the Afghanis-tan/Pakis-tan canon so badly. This crit isn't just for you, but for the cast here in general; I'm leaving it here for you because you seem to be the most active, and you're also the one who is most guilty of this.

You are playing from this canon as if it's just like Hetalia. Afghanis-tan is nothing like Hetalia. The characters in it are not personified nations in the same way that Hetalia characters are. They are not shown to have citizens (yes, some Pakistanis are shown at some point, but Pakis-tan does not seem to have any connection to them), and they don't even appear to live in the countries they personify. Several times it's stated that they all live in 'a neighborhood', and countries are represented by the size of houses. Poorer countries in smaller houses, Meriken living in a home that looks like the White House, etc.

I'm surprised that you and the cast have never been called out on this before because it is completely contradictory as to what Afghanis-tan actually is. You're all playing the characters as if they're from Hetalia, when it's nothing like Hetalia. You play Roshian as if she's the embodiment of Russia in the same way that Hetalia's Russia is, but she isn't. I get the impression sometimes that who you actually want to play is Russia himself, but because you can't, you turn Roshian into something that she just... isn't. Afghanis-tan is a cute, fun moe 4koma manga about little -tan girls running amok and occasionally getting into harmless trouble that is supposed to be akin to real life events. That's why, when Afghanis-tan is shown being attacked by a cat with a knife, there is a paragraph to the side explaining the situation with the real Afghanis-tan and Al-Qaeda. In Afghanis-tan, the characters are silly, cutesy, chibi metaphors for countries, not... personified countries.

The fact that you play Roshian as so similar to the Russia already in the game is especially annoying when taking into consideration that Afghanistan =/= Hetalia. I know that not many scanlations are available of it, but if that's true, then why exactly are you even playing from it in the first place? The lack of translations has made your lack of the canon's actual context very obvious- you didn't even know what the correct spelling of her name was for the better part of the year.

I'm not saying 'go ahead and drop'; I think you're a good writer and a good player. But you're playing Roshian- a chibi metaphor for Russia, described as the daughter of a rich family in the neighborhood the characters all live in- as a mysterious, dramatic, enigmatic embodiment of Russia, which she isn't. I suggest that you seek out someone who can translate and explain the canon to you; you can't morph it into what you want it to be just because there's no translations available. If you want to play a personified female Russia, you'd be better off apping the Nyotalia version somewhere.

Honestly, I agree with pretty much everything you said here, and really, the only thing that I can say is that I know that I've been doing it wrong for the entire time I've played her. As much as I hate to say it, I just wanted to have fun with a cast that was having fun (even if they were doing it wrong) and decided to ignore a right interpretation of canon to do that. I understand that this probably sounds like a cop-out, and I'm really not trying to shift the blam off of me, because honestly when I joined I knew I was doing it wrong. As lame as it sounds, I really just wanted to have fun, and was more than willing to sacrifice IC-ness to do so, because I wanted to be a part of a cast, and didn't want to disrupt their interpretation of canon.

As for personality, I didn't get a translation of her bio section until about two months ago, and was basing her personality around the few canon images I had access too, history, and admittedly a bit of APH Russia. I know that all the players that I have been in contact with from this canon have been looking for someone who is willing to translate the larger part of canon that we don't have translations, but so far as I know, there's been nothing done except scans and some translations of a few of the bios posted on plurk. If you have or know of any more translations that are out there, or someone who has the skills and willingness to translate, I would love to know.

I am planning on apping her elsewhere in the future, and (even before this crit, but you did confirm my thoughts) planning on staying true to canon.

I'm sorry if this sounds terse or combative, I don't have access to a computer and am replying from my phone. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to get out of this either, since I understand (and agree with) your crit. I just honestly can't fix it.
