So I started riding my bike and playing Quidditch and doing Aikido again, more or less all at once, and ahhhhh omg. SUCH CONCENTRATED PAIN for several days, I have rarely known.

The bike is working great, it's so good to be out there again. I want to get better at biking. I need to develop more stamina, and be able to sustain a good speed for longer. I think it would be sooooo fun to try racing sometime, but I am not good enough yet. I did fall over once with the new clip-in shoes (which are lots of fun!), but it was from static and I was okay.

Aikido . . . ahahaha, it's great to be back, but I feel like it's sort of getting the short end of the stick. I arrive and I'm already sort of dead, full of Quidditch bruises and sore biking muscles, and I just can't move very quickly, among other things. It's getting better, but I feel really sluggish. It's also really pathetic when I fall on my face because of huge whomping bruises, while trying to move on my knees.

Nothing really of note in school lately, except that I probably did reasonably well in the last Japanese test. Tomorrow is the last meeting of the RA class, which I anticipate with great relief. Have to write a short paper for that, which is annoying because I'm so sick of bullshitting this stuff. Also since now I know I won't be able be in school next year at all. Ugh.

So obviously, I'm spending my time wisely this evening by watching the Timbers play Chivas USA on the webcast. So nostalgic to be able to hear the wind and see the torrential rain through the Internet (heh heh heh). Never change, Portland.

Jake Gleeson, goalkeeper, is doing fantastically, and I'm thrilled to see him looking so good with our two other keepers out injured. DON'T GET HURT BB, OKAY. (also he looks brilliant/fierce in the blue, just sayin') Still scoreless though, so. Let's work on that in the 2nd half.

It's looking like I'm going to be able to go see the Timbers play the Revolution this Saturday with some friends (read: I WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN), hooray!

In other news, it is (in this time zone) about to be Sergio Ramos' 25th birthday, and this is what I have to say about that:

¡FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS! Thank you for giving us so much to, uh, enjoy. :D:D

ETA: OH LOOK, WAS THAT A 2-0 TIMBERS WIN? I THINK IT WAS. YESSSSSSSSS. (Jake Gleeson = goalkeeping bb ninja; goals from Eric Brunner and Jack Jewsbury, defending/midfielding ninjas)

biking, aikido, school, soccer, quidditch, !public
