Day 17 - Favorite mini series
For me, there can be only one answer to this question--but I think that's because I was born too late. I missed the epic, ratings-winning miniseries of the 80s (Shogun, Roots, etc). Today, if there's a cool miniseries, it's gotta be the BBC, which is where we get the instant-classic 1995 Pride and Prejudice.
It's funny, it's romantic, it's got a great cast (blah blah Firth blah: I LOVE MR. COLLINS), and it's pretty true to the novel. What more could a girl want in six hours of Regency goings-on?
(Runner up, though: Jane Eyre, with Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens. If it counts. Does two episodes a miniseries make?)

Soooo, what has two thumbs and is taking a last-minute trip to LA this weekend? THIS MOI! A friend got free tickets for both a Katharine McPhee concert and--brace yourselves--the Teen Choice Awards; she needed a date for both, and after some fancy footwork with the frequent flyer miles, I've got a free flight! A good time will be had by all, I'm sure. And I think I get to see midtownmandy, so, bonus!
And now I'm off for dinner and Inception (take two) with captainoz and others.
