I want to lay my heavy head tonight on a bed of California stars
You guys, I have to go to bed and then get up and drive to California(!), so stop posting interesting items about which I have things to say, okay? I need my beauty rest. All this to say that some of you may be getting late comments to recent posts, after I am not a zombie anymore.
The apartment is cleaned and the car is packed (total miracle/flouting of the laws of physics: I know I mailed more boxes to DC last year than I mailed home this week, I'm pretty sure I have more stuff now than I did then, and yet everything fit, and praise be for not having to take an emergency post office trip on the way out of town). Time to go! What?!
I'll be posting pictures at my other blog all week, and--who are we kidding?--probably checking in here daily. If my car had mobile internet, you know I'd be all over that. In fact, why DOESN'T my car have mobile internet? Get on that, VW.
