How to get yourself stalked on the internet

May 07, 2008 12:29

I just got an email--sent to my Cinema Hype address and my personal address, which is freaky--from some guy named Charles, wondering if there's any chance I'm the Liz he matched with on Chemistry.com.

Am tempted to write back and say, "No, but tell me about yourself. Please send pictures."

Ohhhh, that is...I don't know what that is. Creepy, but not? I like your response though. Hee!

I know; I'm not sure how he'd have found my personal email along with the CH one. And it *is* kind of creepy, except that I don't actually think he is (but I still think I won't respond). Poor guy.

That's kind of creepy, tho.

I think I've decided not to, just in case. So tempting, though! But the creep factor is making itself known.

Ha, yeah, that's kinda one of those things where it'll either make a fascinating obit or a cute story to tell your grandchildren, but nothing in between.

Yep, that's about the long and short of it.

Also, story: I went today to my dermatologist (whom I sort of have a crush on, which is absurd, but you have to meet him to understand how lovable he is), and I was sitting there in my paper gown thing, reading The Solace of Leaving Early while I waited, and he comes in and takes one look and says, "Oh, I read that book!" So we totally talked it over while he checked me out. All fun and games until [TMI ahead!] someone gets a shot of lidocaine and loses a semi-suspicious mole, but whatever.
