My Mom...
...before anyone panics, the motherunit is fine, or at least as fine as possible. Possible is consideration; she turns 80 next week. This is cause for a full family reunion. All, I hope, will be there, including my brother, my sister, their significant others, and the law-school kid (my niece), I think. We'll have dinner at a nice restaurant.
This means a few things: A. I will have to not drink so as not to loosen my tongue anymore than it already is when I'm sober. B. I will not bring up politics. C. There's a lot of driving involved in this.
In other news, I have begun working on the Obsession a little at a time these days. It's an attempt to discipline myself using small steps. I'm in the middle of Ireland. I feel as if progress is being made on this third draft.
