(no subject)
Okay, I can successfully say that things are going to be better. Not quick, but they will eventually be back to where it was. I'm still hurt and I'm still disappointed. But I'm not as angry anymore... Thanks for all the comments...
I got home a couple hours ago from Paris. It was beautiful (but cold)! Leave it to us to go somewhere freezing for spring break. Monday, we left really early and then got lost for a while, so we spent a little time winding down. Later, we met up with Sonja's friend Rachel and got drinks and dinner. Tuesday we went up in the Eiffel Tower, and I wasn't scared to be up there! It was a beautiful day and I'm so glad we went. I'll have pictures up soon. We also saw the Arc de Triomph (spelled something like that) and Notre Dame. Notre Dame... no pictures can do it justice. It is absolutly beautiful! Wednesday, we got up late... really late... and kinda wandered around town. We actually found the original Moulin Rouge!!! It's not what it looks like in the movie, but it's still cool. I found a french flag, Jon's birthday present, and saw the Sacre Coeur, another beautiful church on the top of one of the few hills in Paris. Thursday, was Louvre day. We had intended on staying a bit longer, but it was a lot of overstimulation in the art department. Mona Lisa is still impressive! Napoleon III's apartment is really impressive too... My favourite part of it was the chairs in the Salon... the triple curvy ones... You can see them in the picture.
Well, I'm pretty well exhausted... I need to get some sleep because there was no way to get any while there was an old man in the hostel with us snoring like a motorboat. Hopefully I'll be up for some laziness tomorrow...
