Right now, it's wonderfully dreary. No rain again, but no sunshine either. We went to the Colesseum, and it was awesome! The stone floor where the fights actually took place was gone, but you can see all the tunnels where they kept the animals, slaves and Christians (at that point in time). It was awesome to see the sheer size of the thing. 50,000 people at a time could sit, and many more stood. We had a little tour of the Palatine Hill, with the ruins of an old palace, and then finished off with a walk down the Roman Forum. It's nice to see and there are a lot of stories attached to it, but all in all... they're rocks. The cool thing was that just yesterday in history, we learned about the assassination of Julius Caesar and the inpromptu cremation, and then we saw the actual spot in the Forum itself. COOL!

Tonight is Nicole's birthday "party". We're going out to dinner somewhere and then to ArtCafe. I'm a little skeptical, but we'll have fun and sleep in until the afternoon tomorrow. Hopefully pictures of the Colesseum and Forum will be up soon, but with midterms around the corner, who know's what will happen. Ciao!
