(no subject)
So I've been back Stateside for over a month now. Not tons to speak of, but I'll fill you in on whatever comes to mind.
I decided when I got back that I really didnt have it in me to go back to Starbucks. Part of that is really sad to me-- I miss my peoples there, and also my regular customers. Honestly, I havent been able to put my finger on the exact reason I don't want to go back...part of it is fear of what I would have to deal with. Another part of it is that I'd like to have a job where I'm not necessarily living from paycheck to paycheck and also make enough to make my payments on time AND have some extra cash on the side.
Right, so when I got back I didn't exactly have a job. I did some light searching seeing as I'm not always the most motivated of individuals. I tried Lowe's, but they weren't hiring. In the meantime, my parents decided to hire me to prep the back deck and stain it and also do some concrete patchwork around the pool. Then last week my mom really pushed me to do some job searching, so to appease her I went up to the local pizza place to apply as a delivery driver. She pretty much hired me on the spot, no questions asked. Then the next day I had an interview at a call center on the other side of the city and am still waiting to hear back...I thought it went pretty well. So for the moment I'm delivering pizzas, which is better money than I thought it'd be, and so all's well. We'll see what happens if the other job comes through...I still may opt to delivery pizzas part-time. It's easy stuff.
In other news, Mary is coming to visit me in July. Woo hoo! : D Exciting, no? Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I think we'll have a good time. Talking on the phone is nice, but in person is always better. Yeah. She's great. : )
I have some other things to say, but I figured a basic life update would be enough for one post. More later...and hopefully not TOO much later... heh heh....
