My awesome choice in movies.
I was laughing at myself on Sunday. I was sort of watching two movies at the same time, one I was really watching, the other I was flipping to when there were commercials. And really that is all I had to watch, cause I have seen it so many times that it was good enough to watch in three minute increments.
Heathers and Clueless.
Yes, there is something to be said for silly teenage movies. Heathers I haven't seen in years, but I can say it is one of my favorite movies ever. I just love that genre of dark comedies, and add in silly teenage hijinks and I am hooked. And yet, there is that "serious" message that I just ignore everytime I watch it (I never pay attention to that stuff). But there is a gritty-ness (I know I know it isn't a word) that is missing from a lot of other movies that have tried to fit in that category.
And then there is Clueless. I don't know why I like that movie so much. Maybe it is because I knew people like that in high school. Or I wanted to... Or maybe I just want to wear the clothes they are wearing in half the movie. That over the top fashion that I don't have the cajones to wear out in public..... I have learned my lesson about wearing school girl outfits in public. Never. again.
While they are both high school teenage movies, you know there are such different outcomes, one the boy and girl kiss the other the boy blows himself up. Ah those silly teenagers!
