Life is life.
I'm going on a missions trip next week with the youth group from church. I haven't gone to church very often lately. We're going to a Esperanza on Vancouver Island.
I'm really looking forward to it. The girls I tutor are going as well as two other girls who have been adopted from Ethiopia. I just love them a lot. Also Emily is coming with her wee Elijah.
The kids are going to do maintenance sort of things and I've volunteered to help do the cooking for the week. It should be an adventure.
The last few days I've been thinking, starting to believe that maybe God is doing something amazing and big.
Also, this morning as Gorm and I pondered getting up vs. laying in bed listening to the invasive noise of the house demolition they're doing next door the thought occurred to me "this is the day that the Lord has made... REJOICE!". It was a good thought- like it's not just another day to survive, but this day is and we get to be a part of it.
I have a book I borrowed from Jessica called Unholy Ghost: Writers on Depression, so I think I'll get off the computer and go curl up on the couch with it.
Just try to keep pandora louder than the hammering.
