Have been feeling kind of sick the last couple days. Bad headache yesterday and now bad stomach stuff today. yuck. I did go for a walk this evening just to get out of the house. I walked where I usually walk most evenings these days, around a little town on an island near here. Most of the island shore is either rocky or built up with sea walls and docks. There is one little stretch of it that has a small beach. While walking near this beach tonight I saw a bunch of things in the water. I looked closer and they turned out to be a bunch of horseshoe crabs. They were coming ashore on the beach to mate and lay eggs. Was very cool to see. Saw lots of birds eating the eggs and got real close to an egret that I think was trying to eat the crabs. Sorry no pics. I do need to carry my camera more. I got home and of course searched the internet for horseshoe crabs. Interesting animals, I was surprised by all the medical uses for them. http://www.k12.de.us/warner/hscindex.html
