Saturday Charlie and I punked out of going to see a FilmFest screening when we saw the line and the ominous clouds above, so instead we discovered that Sherwood's is a veritable theme park for adults--with no lines. We played several games of pool, Trivia Whiz, and some expensive arcade bowling game that somebody had left $4.00 credit in. We drank some too, which was the first time I've ever had alcohol when the sun was out. We also put some money in the Jukebox--which, when you can actually hear it, is rather cool. I was proud of our sets so I put them hear for perpetuity, at least until I raise the obelisk.
My set:
Prince "Pop Life"
Steely Dan "Hey Nineteen"
Thin Lizzy "The Boys Are Back in Town"
Joe Walsh "Life's Been Good"
The Cure "Inbetween Days"
Charlie's set:
Roy Orbison "Only Lonely"
Paul Simon "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard"
The Smiths "Ask"
Weezer "The Good Life"
B-52's "Rock Lobster"
Then some guy played a bunch a very long live recordings by Pink Floyd, and then someone paid a bunch of money (2 credits per song) to hear 5!! Hoodoo Gurus songs. Mars Needs Guitars!
