Today was the last day of classes for the year. I still have exams next week, but at least the lectures are over. I also have to stay until the 19th for lab work, and then I get 10 days off (woo hoo!). As a member of the medical school PHD program I do not get a spring break, or more that one week off at Christmas, so I'm really excited about the vacation time coming soon. Most likely Kirk and I will be going to D.C. for part of that time.

Recently the bulk of our non-working hours have been going towards our yard. The yard appears to have been very well maintained and cared for - at one time. By combining our own observations and neighbors' recollections, the previous owners never did a damn thing in the yard - for eleven years. At this point we have pulled out most of the small trees and thorny-bushy-weeds and are about ready to start planting.
