before I sleep at night
i say a prayer for you.
when I’m with you,
i smile at the smallest things...
laughs
words
smiles…
to this day,
my heart flutters when you look my way
when you
kiss me
wink at me
say you love me.
before today,
i didn’t realize how much things have changed.
i never want to return to
the day before
i met you.
suddenly,i
have a reason to wake up.
a reason to smile-
to be thankful-
to pray to God,
that’ll I’ll never lose you.
