You carried the Olympic Flame in your hands for a few precious moments; we hope you'll hold the memory in your heart forever!
Joanna,
We hope you treasured your experience as a Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torchbearer, and want to thank you for helping bring the Olympic Flame that much closer to Vancouver to light the Olympic Cauldron.
On February 12, 2010, take a moment to reflect upon yourself and why you were chosen to be a 2010 torchbearer. Think about the path that the flame followed, your fellow torchbearers, the communities along the way, but most importantly, think about your role in helping build a better Canada.
Thank you for carrying the Olympic Flame and for sharing yourself with your community, your country and the world. The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Coca-Cola and RBC hope your memories from the day will last a lifetime.
The Olympic Flame is a truly remarkable icon. Signifying peace, brotherhood and friendship, it has the power and ability to bring a smile to a face and a tear to an eye. The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay, presented by Coca-Cola and RBC and supported by the Government of Canada, is connecting a path of northern lights through every province and territory. Throughout its 45,000-kilometre journey, we will help cast a light on Canada's stories. Each chapter of the relay is unique and important - the story wouldn't be complete without them. And because of your role as a Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torchbearer, you are now part of history. You are an essential player in Canada's commemoration and celebration of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
It was our pleasure to meet you,
The Vancouver 2010 Torch Relay team
