I bought a video game console on Saturday because while the weekdays have been busy as hell, weekends seem to take forever to, well, end. (I can't be the only who hates weekends, can I?) Because I never do anything (or anyone) during them anyway, I might as well spend the $300 on whatever it is people think I do on weekends, so when people do ask "whatcha have planned this weekend?" I can have something other than "work" as my answer".
I don't mind working on weekends actually. My colleagues are silent on the matter of my working weekends, but only because I'm unsure if "weekends" fall into the "you should be relaxing during that time" category, a category I'm not sure what it encapsultes, since my definition of relaxation includes a computer. Or at least electricity. It's not like I have a girlfriend or a lot of adventurous friends that "do things" on weekends. I'd definitely give up the console and work for the former, but since that's not happening anytime soon-nor are my friends becoming more adventurous or the adventurous ones becoming more numerous in amount-video games it is.
All that said, I'm looking for a new hobby, just like a famous blogger is, that does not involve electricity. So far the candidates are knitting, learning how to play the guitar (after purchasing said guitar), or fucking. I heard one of the two leads to the third one, but I'm thinking of trying both anyway.
