Wow that was one quick response; this post just went up! Thanks for being the first. I am brand new to this community...it's a blizzard outside, and to pass the time I was rewatching Season 5, and this scene stuck out, and made me wonder what being inside Sawyer's head (sometimes a frightening thought lol) would have been like in that moment.

Replies like these encourage me to write some more...I'm going to be posting another fic up shortly, also Kate/Sawyer (are you seeing a pattern? not the only pairing I enjoy however...but one of my favorites...and of course shipping is such a minor reason to watch the show itself.) *friends you* :)

Oh man, I love the last few lines and the last one especially! And these words perfectly describe all those emotions he felt in those few seconds. Lovely (even though I'm not a Skater [Sawyer + Kate])! :)
