The last couple days...
The last couple of days have been quite hellish. It was annouced Monday afternoon the Vice President of Stores, Mike Ray (the third in command in the corporation) would be making a special visit out to California just to visit the collections of Stein Mart stores out here. There is one in Pasadena and the one I work at in Rolling Hills Estates, CA. Well, our district manager visited Tuesday and said we would have to redo the entire store. This pretty much means that every piece of merchandise in the place would need to be touched in less than one week. This isnow impossible, but it's a tough one. I lost my day off for it. Luckily I am still going to Reno tomorrow for Easter weekend.
So then to make my week even more stressful on Wednesday I was driving to work and my car over heated. I had to go yesterday with out a car and this morning. I was lucky that Sue, my ladies manager went WAY out of her way and drove me home last night and came and got me this morning. It is 20 miles one-way from her house to mine or from work to my house. She is extremely nice. I cannot belive she did that. What a team player and friend. So today, at 6:00 p.m., they fixed my car and I had to take a loan for $325 from work to cover the repairs. I have to pay back the loan on my next pay day, so the rest of the month will be really sucky and Jonathan and I will have to live on cheap food until May. Thank God I have this weekend off, or else I would run and hide.
