*It was over. Not just for the Shadow Mirrors... but Beowulf too. And tired as he was, Axel still managed to drag himself and the Soulgain to a cliff ridge in time for the next sunrise. Lacking anything along the lines of dog tags, he makes due with planting a single stick in the ground at the very edge of the cliff.*

*Though the Shadow-Mirrors used a great deal of automation, it wasn't the entirety of their forces. Flesh and blood men, men not unsimilar to himself, fought for the Shadow Mirrors and against the corrupt EDF of their home dimension. And when they made the jump... they just couldn't understand that this was a world that was seeing far, far too much war.
*That said, they didn't deserve to be completely forgotten just because Vindel Mauser was blind to the truth of the matter here. When he'd have time he'd work on a more lasting monument... like maybe a bunch of swords in a snowy field.*
A lot of people would have liked you too. It's a shame the only time you got to meet them was on the battlefield.
