Miss Loveless, in light of recent events involving me using your Barrelion without properly requesting it, it has come to my conclusion I need to repay you.  Possibly and preferably by way of a date.

Yes, I'm pulling at straws here but you're a beautiful young lady and I shouldn't need a terrific reason to offer you one.

The Barrelion is not mine, so I do not see why you would need to repay me.

Hey, a nice guy's using something stupid as grounds for going out on a date with you! Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!

A horse is too large to fit into a mouth, Chief.

But you know what's small enough to fit into a mouth?

Dinner. Friday night.

Dinner on other days were not small enough to fit into your mouth, Chief?

Not at all! But I was just thinking that as gentlemanly as it is to invite you on a date, it's not gentlemanly to suddenly drop a date on a beautiful lady without considering her own schedule!

Please elaborate on the logic. It is confusing.

Well, you're a beautiful lady and I feel I should treat you to a nice dinner.

I'm using the fact I "owe" you one for using the Barrelion to serve as a formality and excuse for the reason.

I'm also giving you time so if you need to rearrange your schedule so you can go on this date, you can.

What is the correlation to 'gentleman' then?

Because gentlemen always treat a beautiful lady properly, with respect and admiration of how wonderful they really are. And I'd like to think of myself as a gentleman.
