Happy car shopping today! We haven't found one yet for sure - but I found the model I would REALLY like to get! I test drove two of them today, with Callum( who charmed everyone he met - even the guys!). The first one had something funky with the suspension I think, and the transmission was shaky at about 3000 rpm - maybe it was just the wheels. The second one was right on, very tight on the road, crisp transmission, very nice handling...sigh, a pleasure to drive. A little more than I bargained for....but I think I just found the same car at another dealer for about 3 G less- so I will call the sales manager tomorrow and see if I can use that to work them down a little further than I did earlier today.
On the Callum front - he continues to entertain us. Yesterday, he did his first awake and conscious chuckle - he has been doing it asleep for about a week or so. I was changing him, and giving him zerbert kisses on his belly and right along the edge of his ribcage...he was holding his two fists to his mouth and sucking, and then he would hold his breath for the the zerbert - and right after give a perfect 'ha ha ha ha ha!' Then he would hold his breath again and crinkle his eyes up in a smile - waiting for me to do it again! He is SO attuned to personal interaction now - just waiting all the time he is awake for you to look at him and say something - anything. He is a sweetheart!
