Worthy Reads and Information

It seems that i'm either twittering one-liners here or posting articles that have grabbed my attention or that I thought might be interesting to others. In keeping with this new trend...

Cat Chapin-Bishop blogs on Fame, Wisdom, and her secret desire to be a 'big name Pagan' authour. Other authours and famous Pagans chime in: http://quakerpagan.blogspot.com/2009/05/fame.html

Writer Sarah McCaffrey gives a real honest and brave first-hand account of living with depression in the Globe and Mail. She talks about the stigma, the secrecy, and keeping up normal appearances : "On top of the despair is the embarrassment and shame that inevitably come with mental illness. Sometimes the stigma feels as heavy as the despair itself. A few close friends and family know what I've been going through, but to the rest of the world I do my best to present a normal front. They ask how I am and I say, "I'm fine."" A must read in my opinion.

And finally, the SAQ has a sale on organic wines and eco-pratique wines this weekend. I like 'Fuzion' and 'The Arrogant Frog', both organic. And I'm a huge fan of the Merlot-Cab blend of 'Little Penguin' that fits into the eco-pratique category because of it's plastic bottle.
